Customer Service Update

Over the past several months we have found it necessary to review facets of production, customer service and quality control.

Some issues with our chainmail crew resulted in unacceptable delays arising from incorrect materials, improper sizing and lack of communication. Consequently, some customers have experienced resulting delays in receipt of orders. We are now taking the appropriate steps to only include chainmail items for purchase which are in stock and have been inspected for proper sizing and construction. Our website will reflect these changes no later than 8/17/08.

We sincerely apologize to any of our customers who have experienced any problems due to the past mishaps and will take any steps to rectify any products which they feel were not what was ordered.

We are also working diligently to expedite our crafting queue for leather items. Our recent work for "World Youth Day 2008" in Sydney and the film "Outlander" which is pending US release has forced us to re-evaulate our future involvement is large productions as it can cause delays and difficulty in communication with other customers.

During the past year, we have also upgraded our products with little or no increase in the end cost to our customers. Those of you who have observed and read the "terms of purchase" posted at the top of our pages know that even our regular line of products has experienced a 5-8 week turnaround. If a "need by" date was not specified for an order and the item was undergoing upgrading you may have had a delayed receipt date but lost likely received the upgraded version.

Custom work will not be offered until our crafting queue can return to an acceptable turnaround time, as these types of orders can develop unexpected delays in crafting which in turn can also add to the crafting queue delays.

To provide for an option for contact regarding order, we will be offering more hours of use for our "Online Chat" through the website. This will again, be in effect by 8/17/08.

We thank all of our customers who have been very patient in receipt of their orders.

News Aplenty

Greetings and well wishes to all!

We have been hard at work both getting up to speed on orders, finishing up a decent project (Giulio Cesare) and adding many new items to our line of products.

You may have noticed some of the new additions on the cuirass, arms and bracers pages. Some of these items were custom crafted for the movie "Outlander" which wrapped up filming in January.

Our work for the Cesare Opera production also netted some new items for future release in our line, including Roman Imperial tooled greaves, water hardened and wax hardened Roman leather Muscle Breastplates and Cuirasses, Leather/steel Cingulum Belts, Standard Roman greaves, and a heavily detailed and adorned "Caesar Cuirass".

We have also revamped our "Stage and Screen" page, and our "Cuirass" page, for easier navigation.

Our customers are our greatest asset. Thank you for your continued business!

Update!!

Hello all...

All of you folks who have been so patient with your orders and understanding during this overwhelming film venture have been greatly appreciated by our crew here.During the course of taking on the initial load of filmwork, we were surprised by an additional heap of work which dwarfed the first.

A daunting amount of custom belts and baldrics, numerous armours and unreleased custom work (as of yet) was and is being performed for the feature film we have been diligently working on non-stop since late August.

We want to extend our sincere appreciation to our regular customers who have waited patiently for orders placed early during this process and for their understanding.

You guys have been great.

We will make every effort to get back on schedule and attend to your orders right away.

If you have any further concerns or questions about anything at all, please let us know.

News and Notes

Well, we have at last been able to announce that we have had the honor of being chosen as a primary armourer for the upcoming film "Outlander" which will begin filming in October.

This film, directed by Howard McCain and produced by the Weinstein Company (whose owners produced LOTR), will be filmed in Nova Scotia.

Synopsis bears a man from another galaxy crash landing here at the time of the Vikings, unintentionally accompanied by an alien predator.

Patrick Tatopoulos ("Underworld", "Underworld : Evolution", "I, Robot", "The Cave", "Venom", "Silent Hill", "Mercy Reef") and many other films will be the creature designer.

Looks to be a great film! Let us know what your thoughts are!
